    Question Setting filter for portal

    The Scarpetta Group- our preferred FMT Forum Consultants
    Filemaker Pro has the nice feature of makeing portals to show information/fields from a different, related table.
    I have a portal and I'm trying to add some portal filters to show specific data.

    I've got two tables: Customers and Items. In my customer-layout, I want to place a portal to show related data from my Items-table. The portal is there, but now I'm having trouble with the filter settings.
    In the portal, I want to show Items produced for each customer.
    I must add a calculation for the filter. In my Items-table, I have a field "Produced" with a checkbox-option Yes/No. In the filter calculation I wrote:

    Items::Produced = "Yes"

    That works, so far so good.
    I have a field in the Items-table called "Produced for" where I can check the Companyname (consists of a list made of all the companynames of my customers).
    Now I want to show in the portal all items that belong to a certain customer. So I thought the calculation must look like:

    Items::Produced for = Customer::CompanyName

    Because I want to show only items if the Produced for-field equals the name of the customer currently in view. This calculation doesn't work.
    Has anyone an idea how I can make this calculation work?
    (I did add the "and" in the calculation to combine the two filters I described above).

    PatternCount (Items::Produced for, Customer::CompanyName)>0

    Because (if I understand correctly) the Produced For field is a checkbox field and may have multiple values (wherein the same Item is produced for Acme and also Vintage).

    Thanks for you reply.
    The Produced For field is indeed a checkbox field, with all existing customers as check-options. I tried your solution, but it doesn't work. I asume the Patterncount checks if the fields contain the same data? and the outcome is larger than zero.
    I can't fiigure out what it should be. Any ideas?
