This might be a stupid question, but is it possible to hide fields in form view, because i can't seem to figure it out.

    Re: Hiding fields

Read this post. It's in a thread discussing how to make a button appear and disappear, but this post specified how to do it with a field.

    Re: Hiding fields

Do i really have to make the field a button? The purpose of the field i want to hide is just to show the date the record was added, i can do it on the table view, but i wanna know if its possible to do it in form view?

    Re: Hiding fields

No! You do NOT have to make the field a button!

The method described in the post I linked to works for hiding ANYTHING on your layout conditionally. It can be a button, it can be a field, it can be instructions to the end user (i..e, a text object on the screen), it can be a layout graphic (finger pointing at something, whatever). Just use the method to hide your FIELD.

So do you need to sometimes show the field, and sometimes hide it? Or just hide it all the time?
