    Do a sequential lookup/calc from a csv list

    This has been driving me nuts for 10 days. I tried. Here is what I want to achieve.

    This shows the list of Zip codes and the Cities serviced filled out manually. A pain in the butt

    This shows the list of Zip codes and the Cities serviced not filled out, I want to do it programmatically.

    Any ideas or direction would be welcome.

    I can do a lookup for one zip at a time but from a list..?

    Cheers

    Assuming you have a table with a list of all zip codes and cities, all you need to do is change the CSV to a return-delimited list and create a multi valued relation between the two.

    Code:

    Code:
    Set field [ sometable::CSV_zips ; Substitute ( sometable::CSV_zips ; ", " ;  ) ]
    Set Field [ sometable::serviced cities ; substitute ( list ( ziptable::Cities ) ;  ; ", " )
    Stick to what you don't know.

    Got it Maarten. Thanks. It needed just one relation to work. Now to figure out how to eliminate duplicates.
