    email reminder 30 days before due date

    Hi
    I need a script that will perform a find on opening database and send an email to all found records if the date in "review date field" is 30 days before current date ie date review is 01/07/2017 and current date is 01/06/2017 an email will pop up to send reminder.

    is this possible? I have very limited knowledge any help would be amazing.

    Kassy

    Select File->File Options...->Script Triggers and check "On First Window Open". Set the script name to "Reminder".

    The Reminder script should look something like this:
    Code:
    Set Error Capture [On]
    Enter Find Mode []
    Set Field [template::ReviewDate[]; Get(CurrentDate) + 30]
    Perform Find
    If [Get(FoundCount) > 0]
    	Show Custom Dialog ["Review Reminder"; "There are " & Get(FoundCount) & " cases due for review on " & Date(Month(Get(CurrentDate)); Day(Get(CurrentDate) + 30); Year(Get(CurrentDate)) )]
    End If
    On the other hand, if you really want the same day of the month one month from now (e.g. if today is 10/2/17 and you want to see a reminder for a review date of 10/3/17):

    Code:
    Set Error Capture [On]
    Enter Find Mode []
    Set Field [template::ReviewDate[]; Date(Month(Get(CurrentDate) + 1); Day(Get(CurrentDate)); Year(Get(CurrentDate)) )]
    Perform Find
    If [Get(FoundCount) > 0]
    	Show Custom Dialog ["Review Reminder"; "There are " & Get(FoundCount) & " cases due for review on " & Date(Month(Get(CurrentDate) + 1); Day(Get(CurrentDate)); Year(Get(CurrentDate)) )]
    End If
    If you want to send an email instead of showing a dialog, replace the Show Custom Dialog step with a Send Mail step.
