    Movie Time Code Calculator

I have been searching for a movie time code calculator where you can input hh:mm:ss:ff (hours:minutes:seconds:frames). Anything i have found dates back over10 years ago. I would like to be able to enter an input timecode for the clip and an output timecode for the clip and have a calculated result field showing the duration of the clip

Does anyone have a script already created for this?

    Thank you

    Duration in seconds?

It sounds to me (an outsider who doesn't do movie codes) like you can just ignore the frames part of the time code -- let's call that attenuated timecode, which is just hours:minutes:seconds -- and then subtract the starting timecode from the ending timecode for a given clip.

No script needed, no custom functions, just some calcfields with result type "number" and an additional calcfield to do the match. Results expressed in seconds.

If I'm misunderstanding, walk me through what I'm missing here.

unfortunately i need to have frames included. Easy without ....hard to figure out to include. I would think there is an easy plug in but have not yet found one.

Is there a finite / predictable number of frames per second? Or a maximum likely number of frames per second? As long as there is, convert the frames to a decimal value less than 1 and append it to the value of Hours:minutes:seconds once you've fetched the latter as a number. Then you still do the subtraction.
