Work with a well established (16 years in business) custom software development firm -- Alchemy Consulting Group. We build software systems for Mac, Windows, iPad, iPhone, and Android devices that are uniquely suited to our clients' business needs. We are seeking a trainee programmer to learn FileMaker programming to help us keep up with growing demand for our services. Necessary training will be provided.

We need a motivated, sharp, and above all, self-directed individual to fill this position. We offer a casual, friendly atmosphere that encourages discovery and rewards success. All work is done on-site at our San Dimas office (no regular telecommuting option is available -- we believe in working together as a team).

Education and/or experience in programming/database development (HTML, PHP, JavaScript, Java, C++/C #, MySQL, etc.)
Basic understanding of relational database design
Experience with FileMaker Pro/Go/Server a definite plus
Strong communications skills
Strong literacy skills
Patient and positive in dealings with customers
Self-motivated and forward-thinking
